June Sunday School Update

The weather remains unpredictable, but we’ve had a lot of lovely days at Sunday School. We’ve spent some time on a new activity of nature logs in observing the world around us and making Zine’s of our findings. A zine is a short form magazine entrenched in DIY culture, a culture that aims to move art away from institutionalized publishing and companies and into the hands of communities and artists.

Refugee Sponsorship Update

Our committee continues to work closely with our local Member of Parliament and with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada as we seek to advance the family’s application to come to Canada.

Financial donations to support our refugee family are greatly appreciated and especially needed at this time. We ask that you continue to remember our refugee family, and all those affected by the conflict, in your prayers.

Call to Act: Join in Solidarity with the 2SLGBTQIA+ Community

Glebe Road United Church and its members stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ2S+ educators, staff and students under threat from todays scheduled protests. At Glebe Road United we welcome people of all ages, races, genders, and sexual orientations. Our church is a home and a safe space for anyone who is looking for one, where we can learn and play together in light of God. Come as you are and be loved as you are.
