Angie spent her childhood in Baltimore, Ontario, where her father served as a United Church minister. Every Christmas, her family travelled to Toronto to celebrate the season with their large extended family, members of the Glebe German congregation. Angie has many fond memories of time spent at Glebe alongside her fifteen cousins, memories that continue to shape her sense of church and community.
Years later, when Angie became a mother to her beautiful daughter, she returned to Glebe, attending the English service with her cousins and their children. In this way, the family tradition of worshipping at Glebe was lovingly passed on to a new generation.
Angie became a full member of Glebe more than a decade ago and has served as a Board member for many years. She also founded the Glebe Road Refugee Sponsorship Committee, inspired by her deep commitment to justice and compassion following many years of living and serving in Africa. Angie’s deep love of God and humanity led her to pursue the Licensed Lay Worship Leader program. A teacher by profession, she recognized strong parallels between teaching and preaching and felt comfortable stepping into a leadership role. Angie continues to grow, learn, and joyfully embrace her ministry as a Licensed Lay Worship Leader.
