This message is for you.
You may have seen us online, at a parade, in the neighbourhood, at Pride.
Glebe is a small community of faith within The United Church of Canada where we know each other by name. We are a group of imperfect people who believe that Jesus’ message and the Christian gospel radically affirms and celebrates those who identify as 2SLGBTQIA+.
We believe that every person is made in the image of God and Christ does not condemn us but reconciles us and with all of creation.
At Glebe you will find that we have a genuine love for one another, unity without uniformity, and that God’s grace is available to everyone regardless of belief, creed or participation: you are beloved. If you are looking for a place to explore faith that does not ask you to deny or suppress who you are, to grow in spirituality, knowledge of God, service to others and connection with something bigger than yourself, Glebe might be the spiritual home for you.

Welcome to Glebe! On Sundays you will experience worship rooted in the gospel and the traditions of the church, built on the belief of God’s steadfast love for all of creation. My sermons draw on personal experiences of faith, the historical and cultural context of scripture, the theology of church over the centuries and often include humour. You will learn something new, and hopefully be inspired to live out Christ’s radical welcome in your daily life.
Rev. Cynthia O’Connell (she/her)
Minister
Join the choir! We would love to have new voices of all types and abilities. Join us at practice at 10:30 AM Sundays in the Music Room, followed by the 11:15 AM service. You can email Maria to introduce yourself and ask any questions you may have.
We also have Carols by Candlelight every December and a yearly concert with an eclectic array of genres, singers and musicians.

We welcome children and families of all descriptions at Glebe. I focus on uplifting students and enabling them to look closely at their daily lives through the lessons of scripture, as well as fostering an environment of openness, acceptance, and curiosity. I can be contacted at sundayschool@gleberoadunited.org if you have any questions about the Sunday School curriculum.
